Oi , oi , captain  . Is this chocolate Mazda engined escort going yet then ?

It has been running mate, until the starter motor fell out

It bolts directly to the block, and there was supposed to be two locating dowels in the block, so it locates the starter lugs to the block, and they wasnt there  So got a couple of them now and also made a little support bracket for the starter, to stop it flexing.

The alloy spacer from Gosnays wasnt anygood in the end, so the box and clutch cylinder are at HT's, Rons going to sort it out today hopefully.

When the engine was running for a short time, Icky revved it up slightly and the induction noise sounded very similar to Matt Downers old aspirated cossie 8)

Well we had it running earlier today, couple of small teething problems to fix, and thats about it. Only got a base map at the mo, so needs mapping properly. Got to route the throttle cable and put some heat shield stuff on it.
