sumo - VZi is Volkzone international. A huge forum for dubs. Mostly aircooled dubs and they are very cliquey about letting anyone who dares to have anything other than an aircooled dub into 'the fold'. They have taken a bit of a beating from other 'retro hedz' for the stance.

 

Just hoping that OSF remains the open minded place that i have got to love.

Well said, this is the least cliquey site I've found, non OSF owners are still welcome, we just don't want to see pics of their cars, and you've got to admit those 'is it oldskool' posts are getting fooking annoying

what the point in havin a club set a side for a certain type of cars and then letting every 1 just so people dont get the hump about it,this is old skool ford pre 80 production ford only NO and that was no mk3 escort,mk2 fiesta, sierra even if they have an rs badge and there will never be any of the above cars on an osf stand, i know this sounds harsh but thats how it is,nuff said

Ever thought about newbie havin to wait for a reply from admin b4 they use the site

 

That way u could email a 'terms and conditions' disclaimer that explains

whats not tolerated on the site language, cossies ( ) etc due to past arguments, and failure to comply will result in removal

Good on them I say. If they want it to be air cooled VW's only, then so be it. I know there are plenty of VW sites around that can be used by water cooled car owners.

 

But this site was primarily set up as there was no site in existence for Old Skool Fords. Darren set it up with the title "For pre 1980s Fords" labelled under the main banner.

 

We don't wish to get an us and them attitude here, we want people that can appreciate the older Fords, whether they have a newer one or not. We just wish to have our own little bit of webspace where we don't have to deal with them newer type cars
