Not worth doing that by hand, it will take hours and still not look as good having them blasted.

 

 

paint will be going over the bare metal though

PM sent earlier mate,think the guy that bands them does this for you ? Don't quote me on that but it's worth calling him before you spend time or money on them. SmileyCentral.comimage.gif

haha the best technique is to hold it between your flat palms and slide them together.... much like starting a fire with a stick!! not much good for stripping paint but do four wheels like that & your arms will be huge :wink::mrgreen:

Blasting may be better, but if your a tight wad like me, hit the nitromors and wire brush :thumbsup:

i had my mex steelies that i am going to fit sandblasted & wet sprayed. estimate £20 for sandblasting per wheel or £30 blast & powdercoat at our local places :thumbsup:

the [suspected] lotus cortina pair that i am going to use as spare rear wheels i am doing by hand at the moment. it isn't much fun but passes the time i spose :mrgreen:
