it was a used engine that cost £1000 18 months ago and the only thing that be used again is the cam to say he`s not happy is a bit of an understatment

To be fair though if it was a race engine for £1000 I'd say it had had a good innings already though mate. He's had it for 18 months, how long did the previous owner thrash the pants off it for?

at least when my missus siezed her 2 litre Escort, all the damage stayed inside! just replaced a piston, 2 1 conrod and 2 valves. All fixed and going in no time.

BUT that is a classic! Can you weld up the piston?
