Mk1-Maher Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Well i moved the escort off the next door neighbours drive only to discover that its leaked a bit of oil! need to get it of in case she goes nuts (did get some work done on it tho). Any ideas???
Trevmk3 Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 if its a concrete drive then try rubbing it with sand mate, same goes if its block paving, if its tarmac then it will leave the tarmac soft and shit where the oil has been
Stu_B Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 When I moved out of my old rented house I just washed the slabs a few times with engine de-greaser
Mk1-Maher Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 ever thought of google? Are you sure that will work ive heard bad stories about people rubbing google into there driveways, an old lady down the road from me got charged £300 pounds by some fly by night gypsies for exactly the same thing, i wouldnt want to get stung Look mate sorry if im getting your back up but i thought there might be a few mechanics on here that might of had a couple of helpful hints thats all.
Mk1-Maher Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 Cheers for the tips, i just dont want to get on her bad side and have to find another place for the escort ill have a shot at it tomorrow
flyingbanana Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 try rubbing Swarfega onto it ....or power jet wash
w p e Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 just poor a bottle of coke-a-cola on it the acid in it will clean the oil of job done.

surfingturnip Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 just poor a bottle of coke-a-cola on it the acid in it will clean the oil of job done. Yes, I've heard that works very well, seems a waste to drink it People drink it? Yeeuugghh! I cleaned a set of knackered twin 40's up in morrisons finest 20p cola. After seeing how easily that got all that grease/dirt/why off I'll never be buying that stuff to drink, ever. bloody stinks when its sat in your room for a few days as well
Mk1-Maher Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 coke seems to be quite the flavour of the month, but im not suprised considering what it can do to your teeth
toad650 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 you can get propper driveway cleaner from halfrads n places but i'm sure there prob just cola and washing powder If you park it there again just slide a sheet of wood or sumit under the engine i use to do that at one of the places i lived as the driveway was new, don't use to light of wood (weight not colour) as it'll blow away or MDF as it'll soak up water
X-pack-Glyn Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 ever thought of google? Dont worry about Tom mate, hes been a bit funny lately. Try brushing fine sharp sand if its block paving, if its tarmac dont get any type of spirits, thinners etc near it, it will melt the stuff and take it all up.
steve dray Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 just poor a bottle of coke-a-cola on it the acid in it will clean the oil of job done. Is that diet or full fat??
mk3cokebottle Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Cheers for the tips, i just dont want to get on her bad side and have to find another place for the escort ill have a shot at it tomorrow GET THE ESCY BACK OVER THE TOP OFF THE OIL BEFORE SHE NOTICES
Nettles Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Use some GUNK degreaser first then wash and scrub with some hairy lip-squid.
Toby Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 I've heard sea gulls and seals soak oil up quite well, might be better than google. Cute too
