bortaf Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 guys please dont think i had anythink to do with it i was as gutted as mike this morning when i got the phone call , unfortunatly i havent been able to get hold of him as of yet to find out why it got scrapped i was just doin a mate a favour and selling a car for him on ebay as he doesnt have access to a computer as i would for anyone that needed a hand but i geuss i wont be doing it again as im not going to be put in this situation ever again ................... and i will be doing everything in my power to get some costs given back to mike as i feel this is totally out of order and has noit only made him look like an idiot but me aswell ............. been in the same possition mate stuck between doing a mate a favour and another mate a favour, allways you stuck in the middle and you loose one way or tother, i don't sell mates stuff anymore on ebay for that very reason with scrap £170 a ton in some places i guess he couldn't resist it

A deal is a deal at the end of the day. It's not just Mike and Mk3Cokebottle that's been put out. My mate lent Mike the trailer and spent an evening rewiring the lights so it would be safe for Mike to use (it had to be done I know but it's still time he could have been doing somat else). I'm gutted cause I saved all the Mk2 Tina bits I had as some were useful for the Corsair and again we had a deal. Mike can't keep up to his side now cause he dosn't have a Corsair (yet ) So i'm pi$$ed off to. The chain of events on somat like this can go on and on. All for the greed of money rather than trying to save OSF's like most of us do. I've sold many an item on ebay for 99p but i'm not bothered if it was worth more I just glad it's going to good use. Rant over and Mike knows my feelings on this -- Keep ya chin up mate and at least wife will be happy .......

She gave me a big hug when she got home. Amelia was asking why the silly man scrapped daddys car.... And she said to keep looking and buy another one! I'm glad I was sat down!
