Mr Sam Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 stop messing around with it get it sold and concentrate on the capri you sure its not a 1.6 or a low compression engine?

Messenjah Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 lightened flywheel will make a massive difference .. what cam is it ? what zorst manifold is on it ? what carb ?
mk1estate Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 Diff ratio?? I had an escort once that just had a shite pinto in it. Then later on my dad had a mk1 with a wicked pinto in it that went like stink? Both standard, i dont know why, but some engines are just poo ??

Guest MK1gaz Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 A standard pinto (provided it's not shagged) will still be fast in an escort if it's running correct . Take it to a rolling road for a tune up mate and see .
mk3cokebottle Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 A standard pinto (provided it's not shagged) will still be fast in an escort if it's running correct . Guest MK1gaz Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 Well if you've got an engine and you want it to work to it's full potential then you need to go onto a rolling road . Those that don't go slower !!!!!!
RWDmad Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 put on some 40's/45's and you will love the sound
lee_capri Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 i love the sound of a v8 alot better sorry but f**k the pinto escort off to ebay now dont think it will ever be what i want it to be a v8 go's a long way in any-car but i cant bebothed to start doing anouther has have 3 osf's to mot in the next two month's
Guest MK1gaz Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 V8's can't catch pintos around corners though
Guest MK1gaz Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 His might but your average V8 pro-street 7 litre won't
X-pack-Glyn Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 V8's can't catch pintos around corners though never a truer word spoken .... i seriously embarrased a 351 with my little pinto and used half the gas doing it
Admin Vista Posted May 25, 2008 Admin Report Posted May 25, 2008 Well if you've got an engine and you want it to work to it's full potential then you need to go onto a rolling road . Those that don't go slower !!!!!! For once I agree with you.
