tazrocks88 Posted November 19, 2006 Author Report Posted November 19, 2006 feel sorry for young drivers today, one of the lads I work with has just insured an 1100cc peugot at a cost of £1600 thats steep my best quote story is i can insure a 1600 subaru impreza for £2000 but if i want a mk1 mexico they would not even look at the quote they just laugh *i dont get insurence companys*
Fiesta Steve Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 £120 with aggreed value with mods declared on the 1300 Sport. HIC
J_mk1 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 I got quoted for just under £1000, but thats not declaring any mods too scared to! it would probably double it!
Daveyboy20 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 I havent built up any no claims coz i was alays on my dads insurance for the capri to make it cheaper (it was still £1800 with liverpool victoria!) when i had my pickup on the road they wanted £4500 for a 1.8 slow pickup truck!! Insurance companies are Apple Pies to younger drivers, we all get tarred with the same brush, there must be a better way?? Elephant give me great quotes on the internet for pretty much any car but i cant swap over at the moment (im with endsleigh - student insurance but they're shit) Check out elephant.co.uk it might be pretty good
flyingbanana Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 i pay £110 for my mini full comp,£200 full comp, both has mods and agread valuation with HIC

Gareth Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 sigh ... yeah elephant are great ... Your Price is £6191.85 HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!!!!
Messenjah Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 17 year old 2.0l capri .... i dont pay tht its not on the road atm ... i dont think it will be insured in my name but i have what i have been assured is a perfectly legal way round it
Daveyboy20 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Shit! Insurers make it up on the spot im sure. I had 6 months left on my policy and didnt wanna swap companys till i get me no claims. They said (endlsiegh) that the biggest engine i can insure right now is a 1.6. I got a quote on a mk5 escort 1300 and it would have been another 200 quid spread out over six months. The cortina is another fiver!! Its a load of the round ones and to be honest the best way of finding out is by checking yourself as they change it for everyone. Daylight robbery!!
retro_car_man Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 im with flux on the custard gt i think is around £1600 with all mods, somethink like £25 per mod??? but they will insure anything on wheels and about £1000 for the citreon with tesco
