richie_stix Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 as far as the mags go, i have to agree they don't belong... retro ford and classic ford are for the cars that are in em now... for me, they may become 'old skool' one day (as old skool is often stuff that was naf in it's time but becomes cool through time) but they will never be a 'classic' as they are disposable items... our fords were often built in a time when people would want there car for at least 10 years of ownership, they were a means to an end... people these days barely have cars for 3 years! ...modern cars are disposable items, that are more about business than creating a practicle tool... like mobile phones... covered in pointless crap to make people 'keep up with the Jones's'' and think they are great. I imagine they may suffer from 'planned obsoletness' (like mobile phones) so people 'need' to buy the latest, thus making more money for the manufacturer so in short, they may become 'classic' or 'old skool' one day, but they don't belong in our glorious mags!
richie_stix Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 oh yeah, and dont get me wrong i love retro and classic... but ho often do we see 34 coupe's n stuff in there... they are 'retro' and 'classic'?
HoTWire Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 oh yeah, and dont get me wrong i love retro and classic... but ho often do we see 34 coupe's n stuff in there... they are 'retro' and 'classic'? Personally I think that could be something that should be in these magazines; diversity inspires.
Ade B Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 First thing is that they need about 90% of the springs chopped out! They're a nice design, and look pretty cool but about as macho as a handbag.

EscortHeadCase Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 loving the cossie puma my old mans just finished his after 5 years of grief with it. He had gartrac cut up a puma and a smashed sierra cossie and make a rear wheel puma shell. Im not ready at all to get behind the wheel of that thing. its estimated at about 330 bhp and in a car that light it equals 0 - screaming for your mum in no time at all.... if anyones interested ill chuck a pic up of it...
DAZZA Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 ...... put it this way. Allegro's have a massive following, so I reckon the Pumas in for half a chance?
