i hate speed bumps !

1 day 1 fooking day the NanaWagon was on the road

 

2 weeks getting it through her medical...take it in to work , with huge grin on my stupid moosh... knowing theres 7 , yes 7 ! speed humps to negotiate to get in our yard ....

 

.....steady eddy, nice an slow over the 1st 2...then ...CRUNCH ...what happens ...3rd one down ripped the downpipe off the manifold

 

5 mph . p*ssed off ain"t the word !

 

shes now back in the workshop having the pipe " modified "

Fookin speed bumps really grip my sh!t. I'm sick of scraping the fook out of my chassis rails and having my exhaust ripped off. I wouldn't mind if I was speeding over them but this is just when creeping over. The last set I encountered was exiting camber sands car park .... EXITING!. We had to all get out and lift the fookin car over the fooking thing!

There is a legal maximum height for speed bumps. Maximum height is 100mm so if you make sure that the lowest part of your car is higher than this then you should be ok. If they are higher than 100mm and damage your car you should be able to claim damages off of the council.

Theres two into my work. I can get over the first one no probs but the second one i cant actualyl get over so i nip in the side entry even though you arent really supposed to

 

getting out my driveway it scrapes EVERY FOOKING TIME!!.....im on my 3rd exhaust bracket in 2 years...(the other two snapped from being bent and straightened constantly)

i've just been buying my first house, just noticed today that the access route has a bit of a ramp so hope the car will go over if not i'm screwed i think road planner should be more considerate to lowered cars

I used to know a highways engineer who drove a slammed SAAB 95 (and I mean slammed) who used to use it to test out speed bumps that had been put in!!! Thats the sort of highways engineer we need!!!

Another thing i hate about speed bumps is they cant do your suspention/steering geometry any favours.

 

I also hate it when people get right on your back bumper because you slow down to about 5mph so you don't do any damage to your car.

I can't believe how fast some muppets drive thier cars over speed humps,some people don't seem to slow down at all,i would not wan't to buy a car that has been abused like that would you?.
