local key cutters can do you a set of keys no problem but they wont have the ford logo on them (original ford blanks turn up on ebay but arent cheap!)

I just used to use an old Yale front door key. That always opened my old Fords...................Never tried starting it though :shock:

 

I can unlock and start a certain old ford with the padlock key from my garage :lol:

There are two profiles (look at the key end on), the later one is the same as some motorbike keys. Not locksmith carries blanks for old fords, so if yours doesn't try the motorbike key route.

i have a very retro lookin fully metal key for my capper from a local place, its great because it it flat and takes up no room in my pocket :mrgreen:

where/what did you get that cut from then.. i hate havin 3 massive keys for mine... 3 small all metal ones would be sweeeet

my mk2 came with 2 original keys :mrgreen: ,couldnt beleive it :shock:

 

mine too! They have worn at the top and fal off the keyring though so i keep them for nostalgia purposes :lol:

its an old ford you will be able to open it with aanything

 

at classic ford i locked my keys in the boot, asked the marshal if he had hiuse keys

 

opened me boot and i was back to racing

 

starting me tina is another mater though

 

only the original key will do that
