Id hate to think what its gonna cost me to insure my mex soon! i remember 3 years ago i was thinking it would be interesting to found out how much it would cost me and the car was nowhere to be built yet and i was hearing "your not 24 yet so you cant have a different engine in the car" and "you have to have an alam" and because "you got a different engine in there its gonnna cost you a £100 more" and "because its been done up thats another £100",total i was hearing £1300 at first and the cheapest was £730 when i was 23 i think,now im 26... we will see! :lol: i did say this is my first car right... :lol:

the thing i dont get is ye fair enough it is gonna cost more to repare if you crash when its done up but surely you will take more care of it too!!!

 

Thats why you need a specialist insurer, they understand that. No point trying the mainstream insurers they don't need your buisness.

may be looking for a mk1 fezza soon so did a little insurance quote the other day, cheapest was £1300 with a 997cc engine :shock: i've had quotes of £1600 for my 1.6 x-flow 100e with all the mods :?

God i'm glad Im an old fart and pay £300 for the insurance on my ST170 Focus, sorry didn't mean to rub it in :D

Oh and I also pay £123 for the insurance on my modified Anglia with all the mods declared

BAN THAT MAN :lol::lol::lol: it is gutting for 17-25 yr olds but i can say i understand why the prices are so high. Its coz we tend to have the most bumps to due to just passing our tests and still learning as we go and chavtastic pieces of crap are generally owned by people our age. Argh well, can't wait till i am 30 lol

I'm on my third year with Adrian Flux and I pay £190 (ish i cant remember) for my Mex and that is declairing the modified 1700 Xflo twin carbs lowered roll cage EVERYTHING!!!!!

Call them back and ask for a Classic Car policy with a declaired mileage,

 

you can request an agreed value and its LOADS cheaper

Yeah i said 3000 miles limit and i said its worth £6000 at a guess.Its because it my first car and i have no no claims points,he said if i had 1 or 2 years under the belt it would have been halfed.
