dodgy trader , avoid at all costs

Bought a front panel from a NEW FORD PARTS type place and price paid online included delivery , even when i put in my Irish address.Cost me @ £105 and i got a mail two weeks later saying i had to pay extra for delivery to Ireland.didnt agree on extra or even price so we mutally agreed to a full refund.

 

Good so far you think , no.

 

I have been messed around with the promise of a refund for months via cheque and eventully contacted Visa with a customer complaint.They told me it was over three months so they couldnt process the issue.I think i was snagged along for this very reason.

 

He is not answering mails or phone so very dodgy and shoddy service,kind of glad i didnt get the mk1 front panels now as if it was like their service it probally would have got the bin anyway.

 

 

just a note to prevent anyone else getting stung,name can be supplied via PM .

I have also been completly ripped off by ford Parts and i know of several other people as well.

 

Did you get the usual chat from him..

 

My wife deals with refunds, then you get his wife and he deals with refunds, then its the accountnant that deals with it, then the account deals with it at the end of the month. When asked why he can't just put it through the same was as he took it off he gets a bit shirty.

 

In the end i just kept calling him so he wasn't getting any buisness via the phone, two can play silly buggers...

 

I got most of my money back but not all of it.

 

He will end up like the guy from madhorse classics who almost got beaten to death...

 

Best avoid him, he is a con man.

check out most sites like BSC abnd you will hear the same old storey wronge parts, uber late postage and rows over postal prices if he's too thick to realise it costs more to send to Ireland that's his fault, once the price is agreed it agreed

I know he's been taken to court for mis supplying parts, wouldn't admit to it even after i supplyed the correct part numbers and FORD microfishe sheet to prove they were wronge, i don't think he's actually a cowboy out to rip people off just an old tinker lol who is never wronge, not that that help your money still being in his account

some times mods get cranky when you name and shame because i could just be out to discredit someone i feel out with which is fair enough.

Nope, please don't post full details. I'd also prefer it if everyone else resisted the temptation (frustrating though it is) to quote the name.

 

Tell the story by all means and feel free to pass on the details of the offending trader by PM to anyone that asks. But OSF can't be seen to be used as a means to bad mouth somebody.

 

For what it's worth I also have a story to tell about the trader in question so I sympathise fully. However the way the law see's it, OSF can be held accountable for anything written on its electronic pages (much like a newspaper can). So unless you have been to court with the trader in question and won your case then anything you have to say is regrettably unproven and can result in legal action.

i think there`s a few of us on the osf that have had run ins with this trader i have and eventualy got sorted took almost a year and nearly came a court case but i have a mate who`s a breif and he told me the right way to go about it

Offered my other half the ex-brookside Cortina about six years ago showed us photos taken in 1992 and it was only after a few phone calls realised it was needing a lot of work and he was asking way over the odds for it ,total scam monkey avoid !!!!

Like Vista said really guys. it's good to vent your anger out in the open, but we need to be clear that nothing slanderous or derogatory can be seen as being endorsed by OSF.
