Escort 1100 Sport??

Hi all,

 

with the help from Mart67 and his dad my escort should be having a xe engine in it soon, but i still want people to think its a 1.1.

 

i really wanted 1600 sport decals on it but i was thinking to have them made to say 1100 sport, I want them made in gold.

 

heres a pic of my car

 

i also want a vinyl roof

 

what everyone opinions on this? is it a good or bad idea?

id put 1.1 wing badges on and a 1.1 badge on the back.

1100 sport graphics would look good if done right, although if it bothers you I dont think they made one!

Wud stick with your roof tho, metal roofs look much harder

Oh and nice colour scheme mate, aint seen that before

IMO deffo NO! on the vinyl roof but the stickers would look cool

Keep it clean, no dis to anyone who has a vinyl roof, but it would spoil the car if you had a vinyl roof, as said before, it looks hard as it is !!

i think they only made 1300 and 1600 sports, so 1100 has probably not been done before, i really like the look of a vinyl roof, but im guess there not cheap.

 

im certainly going to get the 1100 sport put down the side. and the wing badges etc 1.1.

i think ill get the stickers for now and maybe a vinyl roof next year,

just need to do engine transplant, then re spray, then its done and will be ready for a few shows next year.

ok great,how long do you think it will take to do?

 

im going to try and get a few parts together like the type 9 box, and try and sort something out twith the brakes,

i also need to call insurance to check its ok with them too.

i would say 2 weeks of hard work mate and she should be finished providing all bits are ready to be fitted,i fouund that was the biggest time waster while doing mine waiting for bits to be sent.just informed my insurance and its gone up £35! although i am 28.

ok i need to ask them b4 i can defo say yes, but i could just put my dad as main driver.
