mk1rob Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Hi! Just wondered what peoples opinions are on Rally Design? I need a quick rack and they seem to have the cheapest ones. Are they good quality or is it a case of 'you get what you pay for'? Cheers!
antz Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 i got a 2.9 one on mine which came from there not had any probs and i like it
PIG Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 the place is know as rally redesign, some bits are ok to be fair to them
glenbo Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 i have brought quite alot from them and everything was ok
razersedge Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i'd say check out other places for prices first because i don't live far from them but i won't use them because they are a lot dearer than most other places even without the postage but it is the same stuff just remember they don't add vat to the prices they show but most there places do, i had to order a load of bits earlier this year and it come to £2300 from peter Lloyd and it was £2800 from rally design, ok the gearbox was £200 dearer because it was quaiff not tran-x but the carbs were over £100 dearer each but they were the same make and the pan hard and tramp kit's were dearer as well, so i'd say cheak other places for prices but if they are cheaper than get it because it is the same stuff that the other's are selling
Posse Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Ive brought alot of stuff form them and never had any probs. Also the delivery service is god to.
pauln Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Good place, friendly, helpful and the only parts I have had to modify have been the Escort bit to fit my Cortina.
MightySprocket Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 never had any problems, always had helpful and friendly service and quick delivery
countrybumpkin Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i've not had any problems with there stuff seams good quility, and the prices always seam very rasonable
petrolhead Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 I get a lot of my stuff from there but I would say that more than 50% of it has to be modified in some way to fit -Rally Redesign indeed. I still buy from there because: a) they are cheap good service and no-qualms return policy c) helpful over the phone
over_head_cam Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Sounds to me that most have had good experiences, but sometimes a bit of modding is required.
Wessie Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 you get what you pay for but i've never had any problems with them
vibrating_Cake Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 im on the list of good experience with them
Anglia68 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 I've bought anti-tramp bars,a panhard rod,anti-dive kit and coilover conversion from them and all were good quality and reasonably well made. I'll buy off them again and happily reccomend them to others. A bit of fettling is all part of the fun.
alimax motorsport Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 pay cheap have cheap say no more
over_head_cam Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Meeoww  When needs must and you're on a budget what can you do?
Kalypzo Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 pay cheap have cheap say no more Is that experience?
steve dray Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Bought loads of stuff from them, they are happy to help, always reply to emails which means a lot, how many times have you emailed a company and never had a reply?? I think the parts they supply are value for money when you are on a budget. If I was loaded no doubt I would go elsewhere, but I'm not!! so I would buy from them any time Oh, and i've got one of their 2.4 turn quickracks on my Angrybox, had no problems with it
pelvins Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 spent thousands with them , i can pop down there as quite local to me so i can explain exackly what i want
gpcmatric Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 had no probs good service and prompt delivery
bmxdave Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 When buying certain stuff youd expect a bit of fettling anyway. Everything ive bought from them was ok and they where pretty helpfull over the phone and emails too.
285Andy Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 no problems here! i spent quite a few quid with them. even buying online from their website is great! and ive found their prices lower than even Ebay in all cases! which one would have to expect now anyway lol! my only niggle is there delivery rate last time i got somthing off their site was rather high! but having said that, with the price of fuel going up, someone has to stump up the cash!
mk1rob Posted August 6, 2008 Author Report Posted August 6, 2008 Thanks for the help people! Ive ordered a 2.4 quickrack and one of them Mountney 'AVO style' steering wheels today! Couldnt afford a springalex but these Mountney ones look ok! Thanks!
