jay Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i've got a whats the best way to mount them, horizontal, or vertical?? or does it not matter? also, is it best to run the power through a relay, of just a switch? ta muchley.
Posse Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 vertical jay ive just got mine to a switch Where abouts are you going to mount it inside or outside the car?
Johnson Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 are these gravity fed, and if so ideally would they not need to be mounted bellow the fuel tank???
over_head_cam Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Not gravity fed, its a pump ;) They can cope with run-back and will pump a bit of air no problem. The manufacturer recommends vertical, but they will work either way
jay Posted August 6, 2008 Author Report Posted August 6, 2008 vertical jay ive just got mine to a switch Where abouts are you going to mount it inside or outside the car? inside, still gona use standard tank.. prob going to make a bracket and mount vertically.. cheers fella's. oh want pressure regulators best to use???
Posse Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 just get one off ebay jay there about £30 also these are good from alimax.
over_head_cam Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 A Filter King or a Holley will do the job as far as regulators go
BaileyMex Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 vertical but best run with a regulator as OHC said

ratman Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 I run mine in the boot mounted horizontal on two exeaust bobbin mounts and a filter king set at 2-3llb
over_head_cam Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Boot is best Unless you're racing and the particular rules say it must be outside
lead foot Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i have mine mounted under the bonnet using cotton reel rubbers, and run it at 2 psi.
