Chris M Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 Been both a mahooosive fan of bangers and stocks for years, my sisters fianace uncle was Danny Clarke (203) of world stock car fame, so visited may a circuit in many a country Ive seem some serious rare stuff get put though its paces over the years, including 1 of only 2 ever made offical sirrea limos.. Id sooner see a claped out old tina, granny or whatever going out in ablaze of glory (literally in some cases) that rotting in a scrap yard or someones driveway.. but its not the same anymore the bigger unlimerted and heaveir classes are putting out smaller fields each time..not as much fun watchin a load of 1400cc nissan sunnys get killed off:roll:

Whenever I have broken a van for parts, it goes off with no axles, doors, interior, running gear or chassis parts! I defy any banger racer to do anything with a van I have had my hands on first!

LEONMEX Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 Yup love abit of banger racing,don't do as much now as i did a few years ago as doing national bangers gives you abit of a beating after a while last time i raced was at foxhall in the caravan bangers & it was brilliant plan to do a big meeting soon though

Yay, got in free!! I believe that if the car is that shagged that it needs to go to the scrappers you just as well get some last enjoyment out of it before it goes

LEONMEX Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 most of the bits on my escort came from capris & escorts ive bangered,i look at is as recycling only ever raced old rotters & have saved a few mk2 granadas from being raced & now turn my attention to racing jap crap instead a few of my mates do the remote racing & they have dd's aswell
