Mr Sam Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 well mega peed off with the £35 entrace fee but VW show totally different atmosphere to any ford show it really is one big party although you do get sick of the sight of camper vans hmm i recconise that car all the way from belgium now that i like apparently rather quick shrunk in the rain dunno what that is on the wing there be that golf wheelie bar on a FWD'er 10 sec car i was expecting alot more wheels up action but it just wasnt hapening g'waaaaaaan hux!!! the Fords certainly livened things up big time!!! so much more noise and big time burnouts to but the VW's to shame in that aspect now just imagine the sound of an NA cossie and a big time pinto with no exhausts...........silenced the aircooled good and propper where are all the escorts moon disks FTW thats a bit more exiting than a focus ST line up eh

antz Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 vw scene is shit the cars are shit the look is shit the people are up their own arse i live in an area controlled by the VW scene so have it rammed down my throat all the time by all my friends and i hate it. i hate the scene with a passion and they dont have a single thing thats actually unique to them. the whole scene was stolen from other scenes. even the name DUB was nicked from the asmerican tuning scene

I only got there late on the saturday, but the atmosphere was great. So much so that I would seriously consider going again properly, even if the V-dubbers do look at you like you have 3 heads when you drive an escort past them

Kev drove Brian Burrows 'Outrage' bettle for a few meets in 90s and they are a very friendly bunch
