X FLOW EDDY Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 I think i got caught speeding the outher week but i havent had a letter through the post yet, is there a time limit in which they have to send you the ticket ? If it helps it hapened on the 15th of august which was 16 days ago by my reckoning.
FredTransit Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 I know there is a time limit from first writing to you to the court case, but don't know if there is a limit from the 'alleged offence'. Time limit from when you are written to, to court date 6 months.
flyingbanana Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 they have to notify you within 28 days of offense
X FLOW EDDY Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 Balls !!! I thought it was 14 days

Thing is there is a slim chance i might have been caught TWICE in 2 weeks The second time i was doing just over 40 in a 40 zone and maniged to get to the brakes in time so i think i am safe with that one i hope. mk3cokebottle Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 qeustion on a speeding ticket forum was. how long does it take for a speeding ticket to be produced as i was flashed in birmingham 3 weeks ago and still not go a ticket ???? answer...This would depend on what type of camera you went through as they all work slightly differently. I would wait and see. If you are going to be given a fine then they have to send you a notice of intended prosecution (NIP) within 14 days of the offence. If you don't get a NIP within 14 days then you have got away with it. A bit more attention in future though eh?! 3 weeks ago Source(s): UK Copper hope this helps bud

I was doing nearly 40 in a 30 zone looking stright at the van, never saw the thing until the last minuite, it was less than 30m away when i saw the dam thing !! The second one i was doing 43 max in a 40 zone and got to the brakes in time so i dont think that one is an issue.
Daggle Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 14 days from the date of the offence. If you don't get a NIP (notice of intended prosecution) within that date then the case can not be run
