Whilst rumageing round a mates shed yesterday i spotted an atlas axle on the floor, so i asked him what it came out off and he replyed " a 1600 GT mk1 capri, and its a baby atlas at that to !!!" After finding a tape mesure and mesureing from behind the back plates it is 50 inch from flange to flange. Is this a propper baby atlas axle because he dosent want a lot of money for it :thumbsup: I thought baby atlas axles came fitted to mk1 3L capris onley?

Atlas's are very heavy - Usually fitted if rallying or got mega HP.

If you are X-Flow Eddie you will probably be better off sticking with the English, easier diff changes, cheaper builds - do agree the shaft are better than an English but there are greater downsides IMO.

This is my Atlas axle I'm using on my '53 Anglia.

It was originally taken from a 3-litre MK1 Capri, and it measures 48.5" from back plate to back plate.
