Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 To help a friend of mine. While I was there, I received a phone call from my dad sounding very worried. Dad - "James, where are you?" Me - Just down at Rob's" Dad - "Get home now, your shed has been done & I don't know if their still in there" The words I fear & the sound of my burglar alarm going off certainly got the old adrenilin going. I grabbed my mate and we busted up there, but because i'm such a dong, I left my keys in my car so I had to do a Bodie & Doyle over the side gate. Ran down to the shed with a metal bar, swung the door open to find no-one there. Luckily nothing has been taken, although I will have to have another look because I can't remember if my trolley jack was there. It looks like they cut the padlock off the doors with a pair of bolt croppers last night, then came back today. I wasn't worried about the shed, I was more worried about my Dad being alone with a possible theif knocking about, but when the door was opened the alarm went into entry mode, so he knew he had to get out of there. I will be doing the nightshift for a while now and I have my gun by my side. Public forum or not, if he's on my property tampering with my property, he should be prepared for a shooting. He loses his rights as soon as he steps on my land! I know of a friend of a friend who had a break in within the last week or so, so if you're in SE London, keep everything locked, shut, out of sight etc. etc.
richie_stix Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 shit, thats quit lucky really and i do agree, a good shooting is in order! so if you're in SE London, keep everything locked, shut, out of sight etc. etc. but i always thought that was the best policy anytime! (not meaning to make light of your serious situation!)

(not meaning to make light of your serious situation!) No, you're quite right mate, but as we are only humans, we can sometimes drop our guard. Also, the run up to Xmas see's cars, houses and sheds being broken into. Little update, I have moved my tools and anything of value out. What worries me is that they came armed with bolt croppers which, in my eyes means they must of known they would need them. Have they been snooping around on another evening? Well I have spoken to my neighbours, and it turns out the break-in was last night at about 10pm, which is very very scary, because last night at 10pm, I was here at my computer by my window which looks out over my garden. I heard no alarm, and didn't see anything. I think the PIR light I have on my shed was covered up, and obviously the alarm did it's job because they could've come back during the night, but they didn't.
