Hey all !

I recently bought a cossie head from a guy on another internet forum.......

and firstly the guy blatantly lied about when he sent it. He told me he posted it and i didnt get it for 4 weeks. I ended up getting snotty with parcel force etc but it turned out he didnt even post the bloody thing!

Anyway, when i finally did recieve the head, it was just in a flimsy cardboard box.

Because of this shite packaging the head had 4 bent exhaust studs (why the hell leave them in when they sit lower than the face meaning all the weight is on them???) and in the process, they have enlarged the stud holes, almost ruining them!

Then, because there was no protection on the mating face of the head, it had taken a whack in transit and it now has a chunk taken out of it near the water way!!

i have sent several texts and emails but got no reply or even a simple apology.

Common sense would tell me to package such a delicate and expensive item properly and it has left me out of pocket now.

I dont know if the head can be used now (i think for N/A use it will be ok) but it still takes the biscuit!

What would you guys do? Name and shame on this 'other' internet forum??

Cheers for reading my rant!!

There's not much else you can do unfortunately as parcel force won't cover damage on their insurance if it wasn't packaged properly. I'm assuming he won't respond to your calls / texts?

Nope. No response at all.

The lying i can handle, water under the bridge, but the damage because of his stupidity.... just makes me angry. He might as well of put it in a tesco's carrier bag!!

I paid the guy paypal for speedy delivery too!! But unfortunatley i am not covered as it wasnt an Ebay transaction. :(

Screw him over in any way you can... just txt/email him first telling him you're going to, give him a bit of a chance to right his wrongs!

send him one huge email, explaining everything thats wrong with it, everything you think he should do about it etc... then explain to him you will contact consumer advice and find out where you stand.

I think the head could be repaired, but obiviously at your cost....

There is an element of trust in all these transaction. Even before what happened to me this week I would always collect or try to find a mate to collect an item that was expensive or I could not afford to lose the money on.

My advice, be careful not to upset the bloke to much you want to be able to go to shows without hassle, dont name and shame it could back fire. You could go all legal but that takes time and effort and if he's happy he did the write thing it's hard.

It's not good but sometimes you just got to live with it.

Hmmm. The guy didnt 'screw' me over as such but was just STUPID in his packaging. With a little common sense would the head would have been fine! I have sent him a LONG email but had no reply.

Ah well, you win some you lose some i guess :(

Not much more i can do i spose :(

Ya live and learn. So my advice is... if you buy something from a forum etc, make sure you give packaging instructions!!

I think its sh*t when this sort of thing happens, you should'nt just have to deal with it,after all its your hard earned, its all well and good saying collect the item to be safe but sometimes its not that easy or convienient and if the seller of said item offers postage as a service then should have the decency to protect the item with sufficient packaging

I suggest putting up a post on the forum where this person is a member, you dont even have to give full details of whats gone on(well not at first depending on if he answers)generally it seems people that dodge emails or pm's to try and wriggle out of a potentially tricky situation will often reply to a post on the public forum as if they dont it wiil soon become clear to all whats gone on,thats my opinon anyway mate,i hope you get it sorted
