DeuceCoupe Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 of letting people know when there has been an accident on motorway. I was on the M3 friday when there was a sign for road works nothing else. we were going very very very slow. It took us 2 hours to do 2 miles not good (only had 13 miles to go to get the ferry ) Some guys with yellow jackets walked past I asked what the problem was. There was a fatel accident at 1am that morning. My question is why can't they warn people about all accidents that happen? Then I wouldn't have got on motorway
Posse Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 you could always just flick your radio on the traffic report

capriclive Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 i got caught in traffic friday. going from portsmouth to gatwick via guildford. got stuck on A3 hindhead for 2 hours (broken down lorry), then stuck on M25 for 45 mins (not sure why), then on way back, stuck on M23 for 1 hour (bloody roadworks) AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH
BIGKEV Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Traffis reports are shit - I was stuck on the M4 once for 3 hours and Virgin Radio kept saying that the roads were fine - I got So hacked off ( mainly cos I had to Pee in my empty Dr pepper bottle!) So I phoned the radio and spoke to the pillock who picked up the phone and told him he was a clunt!! Suffice to say that the next bulletin said that there was a slight accident on the M4 at Junction 14 - I was at 4 and the fecking idiot misheard me Wasnt Happy
Hilux Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 yes it was a motorcyclist that died after hitting a truck and about 9 cars i think were also involved in the pile up near jct 9, luckily for me i didnt have to go down M3 till about 8 oclock friday night so were no problems then but accident happened at 1am and didnt re-open till 2 oclock in the after noon. bloke at white arrow couriers in eastleigh told me this , just have to keep an ear on radio and eyes on gantry signs and yes your right they dont always use them when they should and they dont always remember to turn em off when trouble has cleared, ones on M25 still showed delay signs 24 hrs after the accident had cleared a while ago
