Antz I am pretty much in exactly the same predicament!! I'm slightly futher forward in the fact I've had a little go with my mate laying some beads and stuff. Infact I even mended my lawnmower!! It was a great feeling.

One piece of advice, don't use the gas supplied with the welder. I bought a little canister of Argon/CO2 and it made a HUGE difference to my welds.

Keep us updated so you can hopefully chivy me on to having a look at my inner wings!

I knwo the feeling. I was supposed to do my pads on Sunday......then on monday and now it'll have to wait till this Sunday.....Was also supposed to go to the Scrappies to pick up some more Mondy wheels and I put that off. Funny how absolutely nothing can get in the way of important stuff like watching the TV and lying in bed

They usually can be converted easily enough, if it has the little clear plastic tube. All you need is a regulator (these can be got from Ebay - will give you a link if you want) and to reverse the wires coming out (the ones on the sifde of the machione that unscrew)

Good luck
