Flippin' eck Rich, don't tell everyone! Decent biking roads are clogged up enough with tin cans! Some friends of mine, particularly south of the border, think Wales is full of speed cameras and clones of Richard Brunstrom on every corner. Thats why they don't come up to ride it, and I'm quite happy for it to stay that way. The last thing you need is a striaghtline hero coming up thinking they're "The Daddy" and wobbling round because they haven't seen a decent corner since they showed the IOM TT on telly last year! Honestly, I'm not joking, somebody from the south on a bikers forum I visit listed a dual carriageway as one of their favourite roads

 

don't worry dave ill happily mingle with the bikes as long as they are prepared to move out of the way... and aren't all bikers 'straight line heroes'

I'll put my all time favourite road down later if someone can do one of them clever routefinder thingys drawn on it. I know exactly where it is but I have'nt a clue on the road numbers

The Mountain Road on the Isle of Man, not that I'm biased or anything....

 

I did drive a road last year over in your parts, can't remember what it was called but it basically took me from the Scotch Corner area into Scotland, no speed cameras for part of it (A68 rings a bell) but some of the crests left me with my stomach in my mouth....
