trakevlyn Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Try delivering in London as i have to do sometimes, i got a ticket while pulled over sitting in cab with the engine running looking at my map . The traffic warden just walked down the side of the van put ticket under the wiper and walked off It doesnt help when there paid on a bonus scheme ie the more tickets they hand out the more they get paid
antz Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 theres a chip shop in scarborough that has a sign in the wondow saying NHS, POLICE, AMBULANCE 10% OFF....TRAFFIC WARDENS 10% ON!!! because he parks his car outside his shop to unload his deliverys and every time he does it, they give him a ticket knowing full well its his car!!! he cant even park ound the back of his shop as its a pay and display carpark and they then ticket him for not paying and displaying!
bortaf Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Good thing about Enfield is there's no bonus sceme, so they get paid a flat rate and it notices, met more than a few real nice TW, they warn you if your parked in the wronge place, even had one help get me Mum out the wheelchair and into the car last week Do get the odd problem like them giving out tickets for parking in front of me own garage over a drop curb the council put in for wheelschair access for me dads chair to our own car but thats a council problem not really a TW one. At the end of the day DONT PARK ILLEAGALY and you wont get a ticket, how hard is it It's like moaning when you get caught speeding, if you took all the moans about TW, then took away all the tickets that were deserved they'd be hardly anything to actually moan about
5hane Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 them new cctv cars are going round where i live now.. i live down a dead end. chocker block all the time, but it dont do any harm.. yet they come to vist us evry so often my mum once got 2 in the space of 5 mins, she got one outside a bank (ok, fair enought.. but was only gon 5 mins so ) THEN parked round he corner (thinking now legally parked) to go to a diffrentshop.. SAME TREAFFIC warden put another ticket on what a ******

surfingturnip Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I have witnessed our local traffic wardens ticketing an ambulance before now. I hear they also ticketed a bin wagon as it was waiting for a gap in traffic to move off down a road and also a council van being used by other traffic wardens
accord83 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 They ticketed all the old boys cars on the town car park whilst the old boys were remembering their dead comrades at the War Memorial this Sunday. Never get a traffic warden here on a Sunday, and as the council have previously given a dispensation for Rememberance Sunday, the British Legion forgot to apply for permission to park to remember their dead. The wardens scarpered as the Old Boys returned, couldn't face a band of octogenarian servicemen and doris. Pure Money grabbing B@st@rds. Don't get me started.......
