surfingturnip Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 just a few of the more modern cafe racer style bikes that I've acquired pics of. Loving that norton though
john_3.0s Posted November 14, 2008 Author Report Posted November 14, 2008 look good turnip! to be honest im gonna go for the more authentic 60s look tho. norton wideline with a triumph lump (or maybe early desmo duccati) rear sets, clip ons and some straght through pipes
caprinerd Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 ive been off bikes for years after a major off but been slowly getting back into bikes finished the tdm 850 twin and sold it but this is it i would have it in a flash
pauline Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 a friend of mine ride a old style royal enfield and it looks good. keepthinking I must have ago at riding a bike. thats why I like going to brighton for the brighton burn up so many diffrent bikes. like some of the trikes as well. so when you planing on getting your new project hon or is it still in the planing stages?
john_3.0s Posted November 14, 2008 Author Report Posted November 14, 2008 I need to sort out a few things first, i have been collecting bits with the project in mind for a few yrs so need to see what i have got but to be honest i would prefer to find a complete project bike / resto job or whatever as it would work out cheaper than sourcing / making all the bits myself. got to finish the escort first, then do the clutch in the morris and the gearbox in the golf.....one job at a time!
Nettles Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Always wanted a Manx Norton myself. I've also toyed with the idea of building a modern version. Good luck with the build
