need some help here all, basically i need my inner sills done, what is the best way to tackle this problem, if i dont do them, i will never feel 'right' about the you know.

 

so what is the best tool to cut them out? standard angle grinder? can you get any special tools? like that flexi angle grider attatchment, what is it called??

 

any guides, any pics of before and after for insdpiration?

Just use a grinder and one of the really thin cutting discs, or a air saw if youve got a compressor :thumbsup:

 

think grinder is the way :thumbsup: right best order upmy inner sills and a god damn markee :lol:

Icant remmber the name of the cutting discs i use, extra thin i think, cut like a knife through butter, keeps it alot neater that horrible thick ones, good luck :thumbsup:

 

cheers i will have to get a small angle grinder and them disks :thumbsup: well if money allows :lol:

the diamond cutting discs are ultra thin and last for ages.

what are they called then? diamond disks? brand name?

 

also where could i get samller angle grinders from? many thanks all :wink:

dont cut any thing off untill you have the new panels in front of you..then measure mark measure again look look look and think then look again..then when all this seems good in your head..carefully attack panels to be removed with spot weld drill bit ..grinder with cutting disk air cut off grinder these are like waffer thin disk ..snips..hacksaw wot ever your gonna need ..but to do a nice job of inner sills im sure your gonna need to remove outer sills to do a puka job

Incase you do have to take out the outer sills too make sure you brace the door gap and before you weld it all up tack it into place, refit the doors and check to see everything fits properly.

 

Also don´t just jack the car up in one corner if you´re removing the sills, either keep it on the floor or jack all 4 corners up and get it on some decent stands.
