hi all,

im after some fibre glass panels for my mk3 capri, i would prefer a company that i can send the panels off to and they make the moulds from that. as i hear they are better?

or has somebody had a good experience with a fibreglass company?

also has anyone dealt with any carbon fibre body part companies?

many thanks.

moulds normally cost 3 times the price of a panel cos of the extra thickness. personally i wouldnt use Honeybourne Mouldings(wont say why on here but i wouldnt use them!!) Ive been in the fibreglass trade for 17 years + and i`d say that other than me  , Old Ford Auto`s are the best!! i bought a boot and doors for my Anglia and i couldnt fault them mate

Got Old Fords wings on my cortina, good thick fibreglass. Also got a smith and deakin bonnet thats cracking a bit (but it does flex more), won't stop me buying a bootlid from them.

how can you stop the bonnet flexing? thinking of fitting one on my cappa but hear horror stories

it depends if you are fitting a fibreglass skin or a complete bonnet,

the best way is to use some wood i have used broom handles in the past and create an x that spans the bonnet on the inside then just fibreglass this to the origonal panel using resin and fibreglass sheets if you take your time this can look really cool as well!!:D
