do you get it reregisted and get issued age related plate's

If it has no vin No you cant prove when it was manufactured so you can't get issued an age related plate as there is nothing to say how old it is

 

you will need a SVA test and get a Q plate

 

or you need a logbook

I though SVA was only for cars wanting a new plate and you got a Q automaticly if there is no proof?

i know somone who just imported a renault dophine thing and that went on a Q last month with no SVA

you can if it has no indentery on it i can remember the boy's buying stolen recovered tranny's and such thing's removeing all the id form them and getting a q-plate then going and choreing a brand new one and removeing all the id and putting their q- plate and new vin number on it as suplyed by d.v.l.a

 

i cant do that as the car im getting is about 50yrs old and you try to find a brand new one

If a vehicle loses it's identity, i.e. chassis numbers, it will have to be re-registered as a Q registration

Lee you are going to need to buy a scrap Squire / escort shell that has either an ID / VIN plate and/or a V5 just noticed you have signed up on the 100E forum , ask on there if any body has a scrap squire or an ID that you can buy from them , there are a few serial collectors on there so they my be able to help you

 

I now some people moan about buying ID's but you are trying to save another OSF from the crusher

I think that if it is a squire/escort you have got it will say 2 door estate but check with the guy's on 100E.com they know a heck of a lot about all variants of 100E's

i have posted on their garyv6100e in the wanted section,one of the peep's on osf is looking into a 4 door one for me as im cutting down the body i might beable to get away with a 4 door one if done right we will see

When i bought my old 105E i had the same problem, i realised the inner wings hadn't been welded so i used a wire brush on a drill and managed to find the vin number stamped in.

 

Once you have this Dvla will then issue a reg number etc.
