well got it so now im a very happy owner of a mk1 escort :D:D:D drove well on the way home just one snag the indicators stopped working :sad::sad: as for the insurance was going through my classic ford mag and got a good deal with classic insurance over the world wide web :P:P

What's wrong with the indicators? It's quite a simple circuit so I'd look at the fuse and then flasher unit first. You can still get the flasher units from most motor factors, they're up under the dash to the right of the steering wheel.

they just stopped working i thought the fuse but not looked as yet

Nice purchase mate, looks bloody clean 8)

Like has been said, the indicators are a simple circuit, check all the conections (especially at the fuse box).

Also, it have a hazard light switch? If so be careful with it as they're imposible to find replacments for.

tiz clean for age but tbh could do with a blow over as the paint job has been done with no love if you know what i mean, plus a few other bits as for the price well i did'nt pay his reserve :D:D

WELL done you got a bargain i sold that one in the summer for 1500 quid.it drives well but your right about the paint needs someone who knows what there doing ,the last painter was shall we say not the best.but she is a very solid old girl.wont take alot to make it look the nuts.good look with your new project. :thumbsup:
