also cant you cut and weald the manifold to fit?

the manifold has already had this much taken out and needs the same again which is obviously impossible, anyone any ideas please?

Don't use that fannymould now mate aside from the fact it will leak :wink: you'll put extra back pressure on at least one (if not two) of the cylinders.

 

Show us a pic of it installed so we can see what the problem is, mine didn't foul the knuckle it fouled the column so I machined the bevel further up so that it cleared (see pic) it doesn't look as if it fouled as much as yours though.

Simple answer ... you need a self aligning bearing let into the bulkhead, then the sline from your shaft re attached so its just poking out from the bearing, which is now closer to the inner wing, this then has a fiesta UJ fitted and goes via a hex bar to another fiesta UJ which fits the steering rack spline

why will it leak? its totally sealed vista.

Sorry I didn't realise you'd plated the recess over I thought it was still just a cut out. Even as is though it would be very bad for gas flow.

yeah that pissed me rite off, ive just blasted and painted the original cast one till i can afford a new 4into1.

 

How do you plan to solve the clash problem with the steering column?
