mk2_escort_chick Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Howdy everyone!!! As many of you know I had my back straightened in March 2008 to correct a curvature of my spine. I had to have 2 metal rods, 2 hooks and 16 screws put into my back to straighten it out. The operation was a success and I have been keeping you guys and girlies up to date with my progress, showing you x-rays and telling you what has been said at every check-up... even made it to a few meets in my oh so sexy pink tortoise shell brace Well...my last check up was on my birthday (30th Decemeber) and after just 9 1/2 months my back is fused!!!!!!!! I've been discharged from the hospital and don't need to go back! I was shocked to say the least, mum started crying and kept thanking my surgeon for changing my life. I was stunned! It was something that I didn't even think was going to happen until March at the earliest. He's so pleased with how I've healed. So...I can now go back to doing things as normal with a super straight back and a kick ass scar. I just thought I'd share that with you lot because you guys and gals have been so supportive through the whole thing! Love ya loads peeps xxx
