johnny_h Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Can you get 7" superlites (or superlite replica's) off the shelf with the correct offset to fit under a standard arched Escort or not? I want to fit some but don't want to roll the arches or search the world for an anglia van axle.
oldskooler Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 im in the middle of researching the possibility of narrowing standard english axle casings to run superlites on a mk1. it looks like its possible to take approx 14 mm off each side but i dont if this enough to clear mk1 arches. goin to use my own mk1 project as a guinea pig to find out.

I think these are winners as they will bolt on with no rubbing issues.
Lukey48screamer Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 Mine are 7x13s but theyre not superlites theyre old miniltes, yeah the 4spokes look the mutts nuts in 7's I believe the repro ones fit straight under and to be honest think they look a little bit cooler than the genuine 7"RS rim although thats just me
you'll get 10s on that Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 Regardless of style of wheel you choose you need a 7" wheel with on offset of ET6. Compomotive can make their ML to order to match this. Revolution can make their 4 spoke to match this (though they have no stock at the moment) Superlites will not fit on a lowered car as they are ET-7 and therefore 13mm further outboard of my suggested ET6.
