I agree what you say, there was also talk of putting them through the current SVA test if modified, I built a Westfield and that was hard enough to get SVA approved....... many many area's on OSF wouldn't pass SVA.

The thing about them having to the SVA wasnt aimed at us ... it was aimed at the new breed of modders, the ones with lambo doors and front bumpers that have snow ploughs and wierd shapes in..normally to sharpe points and rear spoilers that could cut cheese.

the wording was " radicaly altered in appearence "

You could buy a bubble arched shell from the ford dealers ..so its not a radically altered in appearence vehical ... same as anything else that is still reconisable as the original car .

:) There's a bit on the DVLA website about it you score points for the more parts are altered from standard and the more you score the more likely they'll give you a q plate, but you would have to really bugger up a classic ford to do that. As retro said was aimed at the modders, so don't panic.

i personally think it was all ott when it hit the mags earlier in the year,as gary said its aimed at new stuff with big bumpers and spoilers

I'm jus surprised Blair hasn't tried to lift tax exemption yet...

Brown rather than Blair, and according to the Federation of historic motor vehicles just such a thing has been discussed
