mk2 escy ron Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 evening all. i have a mk2 ghia as seen below and am trying to get my plans straight so i know exactly what i am going to do. i am going to cossie her and she will be silver! trim strip on the side will be gone but am in 2 minds on these subjects: 1: was going to have round lights 2: was going to do away with vinyl roof.......BUT after flicking through the classic ford mag and seeing a silver ghia with the roof and square lights with mex bib and quater bumpers i find myself swaying a little.....HELP PLEASE? thanks for ya time

mk2 escy ron Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 problem being i dont actually like the full front bumper but am swaying to keep the lights and roof i my scanner work i would put the pic from classic ford up as it looks the nuts even with the full ghia trim minus the front bumper and with bib

mk1mexico Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Thing is m8 unless your prepared to do a hell of a lot of work, its never going to be a Mexico or RS, so the general feeling on the site, i feel, is that its just as cool and respected as the car it is now, just slightly improved, and changed to how you like it. IE the engine conversion. Whats the point in doing the round light conversion if its not going to be an RS replica?? All ghias had the square lights and i personally think the style of the cars model, suits them. Thats my Two penneth anyhow

sambo Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 The only thing i would change is the lights and the wheels. At risk of upsetting a few peeps, mk2's look a hell of a lot better with the round lamps. With a cossie and the vinyl roof, and some banded steels/cool alloys, it'll be awesome.
