pinto pistons

ive been offerd some pinto pistons witch are 1.5 mm over bore what cc would that make the engine

Ive got 2.25mm AE pistons in my escy & that takes it out to 2098cc

they,re all classed as 2.1 m8,

AE plus 90" 2.25mm is classed as 2.1

accralite 93mm is classed as 2.1

O right,i got the AEs as they are cheap to buy compared to some piston sets on the market & they seem to have worked so far

i ran AE pistons in my mini, they lasted 2 meetings (and its only 1000cc)

Ive had mine in nearly three years now & no probs as yet,i do drive it hard aswell But my mate ran a set in his 2.0 hotrod 1.5mm oversize & they lasted 3 meetings

mine were just in a slightly modifyed mini engine - it was built properly and run in etc but they were bollox - then i put a bog standard 77,000 mile engine to get me throught a few meeting and it flew so its still in there

i only got normal 2.25 pistons in my van ,, so far so good

karl shmit 2.8 v6 pistons are good to get 2135 cc

but really accralite are the ones but £100 each

Yeah mine have done the trick so far & managed another track day today But ive heard accralites are the ones to have.

je pistons are good as well but as you know all forged pistons are not cheap

1.5mm would make it 2060cc

My bros got a set of custom made JE pistons for his 2.4 pinto, dunno how much they cost though as he built it all himself.

I could do with knowing that too, I'm after a set of 93mm forged pistons. Does anyone else do good forged pistons for the pinto?
