sambo Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 I have this big hole where an engine should be...... But it will soon be filled with this............... Not long now, just waiting for a big wing sump from SFS and it'll be going in the hole! Anyone have experience of driving with paddle clutches on the road? It came with a paddle clutch and a fast road jobbie? Part of me wants to fit the paddle one but i hear it may be a bad idea for road use??
5hane Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 bet your glad you waited cant wait for it to be upp and running
DEP Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Nice mate, Are using a clutch cable or hydraulic ? I ve got a 6 paddle in mine with a cable, normal driving is fine, just gets a bit heavy in traffic
john_3.0s Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 sounds like your starting with the 'racing driver excuses' already sam motor loojks awesome mate, thats gonna be some motor when its finished
sambo Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 Cheers all, lets hope she makes the numbers eh! Built to Jondels 250bhp spec but i think it may be a little optimistic! Anything over 225bhp will be nice!! I wasnt sure about the pullies, but while i have them i may aswell use them and save the cash to put towards an exhaust manifold. They dont look too bad i spose.
Fiesta Steve Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 I had a paddle clutch in my Fiesta, its fine on the road but if you try and slip it in traffic for example it would judder like a fooker, so I never slipped the clutch, just give it extra revs and let it up swiftly. Where I live I don't encounter any traffic so its no problem for me and have just bought a new one
