aled Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Light blue in colour: Appeal after classic car theft from Wrexham farm AN APPEAL for witnesses and information is being made after a classic car was stolen from a farm in Llandegla. Sometime overnight between Friday February 27 and Saturday February 28 a blue Ford Escort Mark One RS2000 – registration REP340M – was taken by thieves. "The car wasn't driveable and the person or people responsible would have had to tow it out," said Community Beat Manager PC Michael Butlin. "We are interested to hear from anyone who may have received an offer to buy the vehicle or who may have seen it being towed." A witness reported seeing a similar vehicle being towed along the A5104 approaching the Bridge Inn public house at Pontybodkin in Flintshire on Saturday morning. Anyone with information can contact PC 1417 Michael Butlin on 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 . Alternatively they can send a message to 66767 or email northwalespolice@north-wales.police.

aled Posted March 11, 2009 Author Report Posted March 11, 2009 This car was recovered this morning, stripped of everything down to the bare shell, no doors, bonnet, boot, glass, interior and brush-painted in white emulsion
Admin Mk2Jo Posted March 12, 2009 Admin Report Posted March 12, 2009 At least the shell has been found but the thieves sounded like they worked fast on it I hope to God that the culprits will be treated with the disprespect they deserve Thanks for letting us know
mk2 escy ron Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 some people just dont give a fook do they. fooking wastes of oxygen
X-pack-Glyn Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 hardly suprising though when they sell for millions if ford used thier heads there is a superb marketing opportunity here.

escortmad79 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 hardly suprising though when they sell for millions if ford used thier heads there is a superb marketing opportunity here. explain, please Remanufacturing oldskool parts & shells as per MGs. Won't happen though unfortunately, all of the original patterns were either sold or destroyed & would cost too much to get them remade.

Won't happen though unfortunately, all of the original patterns were either sold or destroyed & would cost too much to get them remade. Shocking really when theres a company in the states re making old skool mustang shells, ford uk really did shit in there own pants with doing the above. Its also a bit daft that alot of people have bought cars you now cant get/afford parts for, what we like
mk1estate Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 the strange thing is that the parts that are striped off the stolen cars must somehow make thier way back to us, we must be buying them not knowing where they come from. perhaps we are making the market for these stolen cars worthwhile...worth a thought !!. Perhaps we should stamp numbers on all the parts on our cars, but i think that would be unpractable, or maybe harder sentances for the fookers who nick them
Skoty Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 BASTARDS!!! its just total disrespect! if someone stole my anglia i wouldnt know what to do, its took me for ever to save up for it and bits for it and its not even on the road yet its hard when your only on £2 somthing an hour.
