mk1super Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Well add my 10 pence worth! It seems to me that the moment mk 1 and escort are added to anything it seems to = being dry sodomized, from sumps, bellhousings and front wings all very expensive for what they are, its went beyond ridiculous its now cheaper to buy Porsche panels than mk1 escort ones Everyones out to make a buck off old ford owners.
cjay2004 Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 i dont see the point on having wings at £500 each??? £500 each , ur gonna sell very little too none? as if they were £150 each or even £200 surly ur gonna sell more? sound a more feasable idea too me? or am i wrong...........
Fishtailparka Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Not as bad as paying 100's of thousands of pounds for some paint splashed scrawlings just because it says Picasso at the bottom.
Wessie Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 i know someone who will have a set of wings, he'll want top money for them though

mk14dr Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 I spent a good year looking for decently priced standard wings a couple of years ago, and I still ended up paying £250 per side (from ExPressed panels/classic car components - they're the same company ) Unfortunately, as mk1 owners our options are very limited... I can tell you now though next time I need wings (im not kidding myself, it'll need them again at some point) it'll be having fibreglass mex wings
tom28 Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 im gonna start saving for metal mex wings, id hate fibreglass ones there just tacky to me but i can understand why people buy them its just peoples opinions on em thanks everyone
Stu_B Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 I have fibreglass wings on my anglia, you wouldn't know unless you get a magnet out, they even sound tinny to tap.
