FredTransit Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Just lazyness IMHOI managed to mincab for 7 years and multidrop another 6 all over the country without one then run a car delivery/recovery company for another 5 all with paper maps. Only takes 1 or 2 trips to learn the route and i take some convoluted routes (hate motorways), or perhaps it's a skill i have and many don't? Too right! Also people are stuffed when the batteries go flat!
sab6024 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I love Sat Nav, there are some roads round here I never even knew existed and they make my rounds sooo much quicker to do now It does show me I'm going across fields on the A30 but that's because I need to do the updates We do have a lot of trouble with HGVs getting stuck in St Agnes trying to deliver to Doble's Foods.......but there are signs up which the drivers would seem to ignore, because clearly Sat Nav knows best

FredTransit Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Also people are stuffed when the batteries go flat! They don't have fag lighters to plug them into in your cars / vans then? Not all of em, unless we have em fitted. The fag lighter is one of the er toys you get with the custom package only! We do try to fit them though, only to have them destroyed by the luvvies! Alst one we had fitted lasted 1 job, it was only 4 months old. Don't get me started, sore point!
