Brake master cylinder needed

Got the yellow peril going at the weekend and then noticed the all the brake fluid had leaked out, i changed the seals a couple of years back so looks like its a new master cylinder my problem is its an early mk2 escort with a no servo ive mad a few calls and all i get is you will be lucky so does any one know where or who will have one cheers people

m8 i've got the same master cylinder as you i've tried everywhere and no one can get me one,

The rally design ones wont fit directly as the mounting lugs are vertically opposed rather than horizontal. I fitted one from RD to mk mk1 using an adapter plate made from 10mm aluminium sheet as I had the same problem.

 

Are you sure it needs replacing? take it appart and check the bore/piston for wear, if it looks ok then new seals should do the trick.

Cheers chaps but ive managed to get a good used one from escort tec so just got to clean it up and swap it over they even arranged to meet me at Gartrac as Mark was going that way
