Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Because I am sitting on my bed typing this without my glasses on. The reason for this is, I have now got myself Contact Lenses. I have to wear them for 2 hours tonight, then +2 hours every day till I reach the full 10 hours. They are wicked, I can see so much clearer now, and I don't look as ugly Just thought I would share that with you all
mk2_escort_chick Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I think i'll stick to my specs- contacts are too much fuss! :)
Mr Sam Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 i bought pensioner spec reading glasses once, not that i ever read but they did help when i had a tiny ickle monitor.
Pipster007 Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 and I don't look as ugly Sorry to say it, but that boat has sailed The saying "fell out of the ugly tree and hit evry branch on the way down" springs to mind
Stu_B Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Go you!! contacts changed my life, no joke! they are the best invention ever! I have some now that I wear all month, don't have to take them out once!
Slik 50 Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Because I am sitting on my bed typing this without my glasses on. Cookie Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Tried to change to contacts a few years back, could,nt get on with touching my eyes gonna give em another go though, maybe this year
Smudger105e Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I think I'll go back to contacts, I used to wear them when I did refereeing, but havent worn them for some time now. Are the 'wear for a month ' ones soft lenses, and do you just change them yourself?
Stu_B Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Yeah, I have quite bad eyesight too! I'm short sighted with astigmatism's in both eyes and I can wear these lenses, they're a bit more expensive but worth it! they're soft lenses, and I get sent 3 packs every 3 months! I think they're about £25 a month from specsavers.
mk2_escort_chick Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I've got an astigmatism in both eyes - i cant spell!!!
Stu_B Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 that would be dyslexia then, not an astigmatism
Retromotorsport Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Just dont wear them if your welding .... a slight flash and they can melt to the eye
Admin Vista Posted December 13, 2006 Admin Report Posted December 13, 2006 Just dont wear them if your welding .... a slight flash and they can melt to the eye If you were to start flashing at me I'd be worried about more than my eyes

Slik 50 Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 One of the lads I used to work with had a problem with his eyes. they kinda balloned out like bulets! putting loads of preasure on them. He went for surgery about 12 months ago where they cut his eyball in half then stich the front half of a donor's eye on to his It all worked o.k. but he has to go in to have the other one done soon!
