driftescort Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Rite lads. Im looking to buy a new carpet set for my MK1, I see aldridge trimming and east kent trim supplies both do them for about the same price, anyone know which is best or anyone else does nice ones for relative cheapness? Cheers Lads
styut Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 I put an Aldrige one in mine and was a bit disappointed to be honest. It took bloody ages to fit, and looked a bit crap at the end. Having said that, I've seen others from Aldridge that look great, so it may have been my dodgy carpet fitting skills..!
mk1super Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Theres a fella from Australia does em on ebay they look good
cjay2004 Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 depends, aldrige are the only ones who do a 1 peice carpet.. all the others are 2 peice or sets?? just to let u know
Admin Vista Posted April 13, 2009 Admin Report Posted April 13, 2009 I have always found that if you want a really good quality carpet you're better going to a local trimmer / car upholsterer and have them make you one from scratch. They aren't as expensive as you might think and the quality of the finished product is usually much better than off the shelf items.
mk2 stu Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 I'm making my own, only got to do footwells then gonna get a trimming firm to sow on edges for me.
driftescort Posted April 30, 2009 Author Report Posted April 30, 2009 Cheers Lads I think I will go for an aldridge one. do they go up the inner sills to the bottom of the door?
