MightySprocket Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 I came across these on a random site mexico build line
MightySprocket Posted December 14, 2006 Author Report Posted December 14, 2006 are they mexico's or RS1600s then?
daytona Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Yeah nice pics, they're taken at the AVO factory in Aveley. The cars on the 'merry-go-round' are Mexico's and RS1600's. The cars are identical apart from the engine and striping/badges.
Johnson Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Those pictures are how nice would it be to have one of those shells to start a project off
Retromotorsport Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 and notice the shells being delivered ... allready painted ... like i'v always said .. AVO didnt build shells

Retromotorsport Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Normal production lines .... they where just fitted up at AVO with a few mods done .. gaitor hole and slam panel .. Maybe wrong, but its bloody hard to get the turret stiffner up under a painted and fitted wing

The Anti-tramp bars an, gearlever hole etc were just mig welded in... I've seen an original car and it really does just look like it was done in a shed
