Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 2, 2009 Admin Report Posted June 2, 2009 Just to let you all know, there is an OSF night at the Ace Cafe in London tonight from around 6.30pm ish .... All are welcome. Tis a nice night for a blast in the sunshine and those nice summer evening temperatures will have the car flying on the way home
FredTransit Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Are they going to let commercials in? Cos no point in my going if not.....
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 2, 2009 Author Admin Report Posted June 2, 2009 To be honest Fred, I don't know I don't have the contact details for them there but if you had trouble last time then you may well have problems again
FredTransit Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 It's a Ford. It's old. What's the problem?
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 2, 2009 Author Admin Report Posted June 2, 2009 I guess that because it's a commercial and they are expecting cars Sorry, if I had the contact details I would call them up. Try PM'ing Darren to see if he has time to contact them although he won't be on here til much later.
4parajon Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Here you go Fred Tel +44(0)20 8961 1000 or enquiries@ace-cafe-london.com or Fax +44 (0)20 8965 0161 If they wont let you in could you not park in front of the cafe itself where the bus stop is, seems a shame tho.
FredTransit Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 I might just go, it's only 10 mins, but I don't understand what their problem is. Commercials went to estates at the Ace, and Old Skool Ford does not imply cars only, it describes Fords, which is what mine is What part of Old Skool Ford excludes a Mk2 (1985) Ford Transit?
james1700 Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 we are going to be setting off soon, not in an osf im afraid i can be doing with 4th gear the length of the a1, dont worry tho the rs turbo will be round the corner out of sight!
littlecarl Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 A lot of it depends who's on the gate letting the cars in. I've been on other car nights where cars should have been in were not allowed and ones that shouldn't were. Pot luck really. I'll be there.
5hane Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 got a dammn exam tomorow looks a great night for it
FredTransit Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Just realised didn't sort the tyre out yet so won't be coming after all.
puddy Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Was a good night, shame on all of you that never made it! Loads of plastic to admire outside as well It was like sunday all over again puddy
john_3.0s Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 What part of Old Skool Ford excludes a Mk2 (1985) Ford Transit? think its technically pre-'84s was a good evening, some nice motors turned out
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 3, 2009 Author Admin Report Posted June 3, 2009 Excellent I can never make the ones in the week because I can't take the kids because it's a school night and we live 1 1/4 hours away
james1700 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 was a good night some lovely cars on show and the weather was blinding too there was one tw@t in an omega who spoiled it a little and i did laugh at the chav in the fiesta who stacked it into his mates fiesta on the roundabout
FredTransit Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 What part of Old Skool Ford excludes a Mk2 (1985) Ford Transit? think its technically pre-'84s was a good evening, some nice motors turned out The Mk2 phase2 came out in 1984, the Mk2 phase1 came out in 1978, both have metal bumpers. They tried to turn me away in a Mk1 amby once.....
V8ian Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 was a good night some lovely cars on show and the weather was blinding too there was one tw@t in an omega who spoiled it a little and i did laugh at the chav in the fiesta who stacked it into his mates fiesta on the roundabout I left about the time the White M5 tried to do a rolling burnout, badly, When did the plastic make a bigger fool of itself, obviously I missed that!!! PS James. did you come all the way from Sleaford for the Ace!!
