creammk1 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Hi people I've had a mk1 before, which was stolen before I sorted it. Also had 3 mk2s. One I did a few bits too, before smashing it up and bending the chassis down the lanes (Anyone heard of Salt-Box Hill in Biggin Hill?) I currently drive a modded Mk5 Transit in mattblack and love it Finally got what I really wanted, a Mk1 Escort again. It's a 1300XL which my mate bought when he was 14 (15 years ago), and it's sat in a garden rotting since. Time for a slight freshen up Looking forward to sharing all my grief with you Happy Motoring

Boreham Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 excellent.. please attach pic's of said vehicles at your earliest convience..
Muggy Bonehead Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 please attach pic's of said vehicles at your earliest convience.. I have to agree with Boreham, I've seen pix of the various series ones, Mini's, and comedy pick up trucks that have passed through your mitts but never the OSF's. There's a scanner at my mums if they are still in analogue format.
creammk1 Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 I've only got photos of the yellow mkII, during the rebuild after I smashed it up. I'll scan them when I get a chance
caprinerd Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 welcome to the site bud any pics are a good start mate
creammk1 Posted August 8, 2009 Author Report Posted August 8, 2009 OK, managed to scan the photos of the mk2 This was just after I stuffed it into a solid mud bank down the lanes, so it got a new front panel, fibreglass wings and bonnet, new steels, and compression struts
Muggy Bonehead Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Awesome pix man! why did you not leave those bad ass stripes on the bonnet?? LOL, I would like to have seen that donor car
creammk1 Posted August 27, 2010 Author Report Posted August 27, 2010 Update. The car has finally been moved 100 miles from my previous address to where I am now. My manager has kindly allowed me to park it at work outside our workshop so that I can get on with it there Top man. It now has a 2 litre Pinto balancing in the engine bay, which is a 50,000 miler from a Transit, recently serviced and it came with spares. Best of all, it cost me 50 quid! Sweet. I'll get some pics soon so you can all laugh and wish me luck
Admin Vista Posted August 27, 2010 Admin Report Posted August 27, 2010 it's probably a low compression engine if it was sourced from a transit so you might not get the performance from it that you're hoping for
creammk1 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yeah it is. It'll do for a while, and to get everything sorted, like manifolds and mounts etc.
