stevepeanut Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 True story Boddy was signing books in a shop in Newcastle, he asked one of the people getting a booked signed, what the quewes were like outside. The fella replied, "you'll be here a while theres hundreds". Fellas goes home, looks at his book "best wishes, Bobby Hundreds"
D-FENS Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Bloke i work with is a Fulham fan and remembers back in the day when Bobby was playing for them travelling to away match on the train .He spent a long time talking to the Fulham supporters, what a gent .I always liked him because he was a good family man and i dont remember any scandal about him .You cant compare the likes of him with the overpaid crybaby chavs that play footy nowadays .RIP Sir Bobby .
Trevmk3 Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 it is a sad loss, but if you saw him from last weekends match where he went and watched he was nothing like his old self, must say he put up a good hard and long fight against the cancer RIP Bobby
stevepeanut Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 my 2 fav Bobby quotes are, 1 him talking about the match and refering to "Kevin"(Kieron) Dyer and him saying, "we dont have any silverware, but hopefully we can win won soon" pauses "winwonsoon - sounds like a chinese footballer" he said that live on TV
