Chris! Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 It wasnt actually the get away car! My dad was bidding by phone in 1998 as it was the weekend of the Mk1 O C National Rally and bid up to about £20,000 i think it sold for £30,000 something|?

Really? A good Mk1 lotus would be worth in the region of £25,000-£30,000.....Concourse obviously alot more....

mk2griff Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 LAST time i saw it the owner was from the south west of england.that was about 6 years ago.at that time he had about 10 lotus cortina,s left from a much larger collection.dont know it has changed hands since then,but i enjoyed being shown around.this was the car had a good look at it with the history and pic,s of it with the owner with bruce renolds.
CrazyCharlie Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 i also new the old owner who had it for years in devon he once took all his lotus cortinas to powderham castle by lorry had his own marque for them didnt even start one to put it on the transporter that was about 10 year ago and the last time i saw his collection i believe he bought it from the police, being the second owner, i could be wrong
