Retro-gone. Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 as ive got 350 mile round trip tomorrow in the capri i thought right.... oil and filter change, overdue by a thousand miles, so i did a 36 mile round trip to scarborough to get some good old duckhams and also get the engine/oil hot enough to drop it, so i gets back home, drops the oil, changed the filter, and starts putting in the lovely thick clean new duckhams... left it to settle for a while, dipped it, nothing showing, hmm, so bunged a bit more in (now 4 litres) dipped it again, not a sausage showing on the dipstick.. WTF is goin on! yep, havent put the fOOkin drain plug back in yet the oil was rendered useless as it drained straight into container still under the car with the old oil in , i could of battered myself stupid fook it, went to B&Q and bought some cheap piss for now.
Nicks53 Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Sounds like the first time I changed the oil with some assistance from the old man, went something like this: Dad: Can you see it? Me (from underneath the car): Yeah. Are you sure I can just undo the cap to release the oil? Dad: Yeah. *I undid the cap, oil then covers my face & neck which was followed by much profanity* Dad (repressing a laugh): What's up? Me: Got covered in f*cking oil, didn't I?! Dad: Oh yeah, should've said to move before it was completely undone. Bit daft but I'm sure we all make mistakes.
